About Us
Who We Are
A non-profit association carrying the Teochew spirit forward into a new generation.
Our Mission
A home for Teochew youth in New York
The New York Teochew Youth Federation Association unites Teochew people across America — of any background, aged 18 to 58 — to build fellowship, share knowledge, and give back. Through entrepreneurship forums, cultural events, and community service, we help members grow while strengthening our shared sense of responsibility.
Founded in 2025 as the youth wing of the seventy-two-year-old New York Teochew Association, we are the platform where young Teochew find belonging, unlock their potential, and realize their dreams.
紅頭船
The Red-Head Boat Spirit
Generations ago, Teochew seafarers set out from Chaoshan aboard red-prowed junks, crossing oceans to build new lives far from home. That courage — to venture, to endure, to succeed against the odds — is the spirit we carry today, from the shores of Chaoshan to the streets of New York.
Meet our leadershipOur Purpose
Rooted in heritage. Building the future.
That inheritance is not a keepsake — it is a charge. We put it to work: strengthening fellowship, preserving our culture, and opening doors for a new generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.
From gongfu tea to the spirit of the “red-head boat,” our roots run deep. We carry that spirit forward — daring to strive, destined to win.
